LED Lighting Backlit Paper (Film)
Light pocket film is semi transparent (translucent) which provides the best of both worlds day and night.
All too often people don't even discover the difference between ordinary inexpensive paper and coated polyester backlit film. The lighting/brightness difference is profound when viewed side by side.
Trick: If you're using double sided light pockets but not displaying a printed graphic in the rear sleeve, always remember to insert one blank (non-printed) sheet into the rear sleeve to maximise the amount of light that passes through your advertisement. Important note: The blank sheet can just be ordinary paper which works very well for this purpose.
Trick Explanation: Translucent film lets approximately half the light pass through whilst reflecting the other half (however some is absorbed). This means that when a sheet is placed in each side of the pocket both sides benefit because light is reflected in both directions. There is also an amount of natural light absorption by all materials which is emitted in all directions, and therefore this phenomena is an additional benefit to the reflection aspect.
